Sand Moor is a delightful heathland course on the north side of Leeds, heavily influenced by Alister MacKenzie and a real treat to play. At 6,360 yards and par 71, it is full of strategic interest.
It sits in one of England’s great golfing neighbourhoods, a few minutes from Moortown and Alwoodley, which makes it an easy addition to a few days of top-class golf around Leeds. Sand Moor is one of the highlights of our Leeds Golf Tour, and York’s Fulford Golf Club is an easy drive away if you want to extend your trip.
Course: 18-hole heathland. Address: Alwoodley Lane, Leeds LS17 7DJ
